I am BEYOND excited to have a platform to do what I have always dreamed of doing–helping and inspiring others to become their best selves! Since college, I have fantasized about an avenue that I could explore that would help individuals regardless of wherever they are in life. I’m a culturally competent kind of gal that loves connecting with humanity on deep, rich levels, which is why I have recently embarked on a new academic journey, as I am working on my Master’s in Mental Health Psychology & Counseling. Very soon, I will also be a certified Life Coach and can’t wait to merge these two modalities into one through counseling and therapeutic solutions with an inspirational coaching approach to really share my gift. Before this, I earned my Bachelor’s from The Ohio State University where I studied English, Women’s & Sexuality Studies. I also have a ton of experience in business management, but that chapter has ceased, and now I’m moving onward and forward in deeper exploration of my many gifts and passions, that will now be invested in the foundations of be+ LIFTED Wellness & Coaching!
Since I am very new to the realm of blogging, I feel an introduction can do us some good. I think the most important thing that I can accomplish here is being 100% honest about my own adversity and experiences, after all, these pivotal moments are in fact why I am in the business of wanting to inspire other people to reclaim their energy and lives. Whether it’s personal, emotional, mental, physical, spiritual–I want to share my story for many reasons, but I’ll summarize them briefly:
1. We all have a story to tell. And, I want to put my English degree to good use.
2. Adversity and I are kind of an item. And, I’m still standing. And, so are you.
3. I really, really like to see people get better. It’s an obsession, if you will.
4. We all need a little assistance in getting our shit together, right?
5. More than anything in the world, I want you to feel, and BE LIFTED!
Throughout the course of this summer, I have written a collection of…I think the best way to describe them would be “first-hand reflections and beautifully-composed rants,” in something I’ll hopefully have the time to finish and publish. But for now, I’ll be pulling from those reflections. I warn you in advance, it’s personal and intimate, and for those of you that are in similar situations, let’s unite and form our little tribe, don’t be shy!
I hope you all enjoy this blog.
be + LIFTED.
Love, blessings, & gratitude.
