She is Held

When she gasps her first breath after leaving her mother’s sacred womb,

She is held.

When she utters her first words, stumbles while learning to stand on her own two feet,

She is held.

When her innocence is seen as a virtue that guides her playful curiosity,

She is held.

When her journey into womanhood begins with the sight of blood that only her body can shed during the sacred cycle, 

She is held.

When she dances with her sisters, understanding that femininity is something to own, not be ashamed of,

She is held.

When heartache convinces her that she is not worthy of the love she carefully imagines for herself,

She is held.

When she finds that old ways simply no longer serve her, and the truth within that is tired of lying dormant is ready to ignite, 

She is held.

When she meets each day committed to consciously choosing love over fear,

She is held. 

During her darkest hours where silence is disrupted by violent tears,

She is held.

When her eyes bloom with hope, radiating from the healing light that she is now ready to receive,

She is held.

When she realizes her pain is no punishment but a window to uncover her true calling and purpose,

She is held.

When she experiences her first Kundalini awakening, and cries in joy for all her Creator provides,

She is held. 

When she cries in frustration, not understanding her spiritual path, defeated by her ego’s attempt of separating her from the knowledge she intuitively carries,

She is held. 

When she finds her way to motherhood, beginning the sacred passage where only her body can bring life into this world,

She is held.

When she uses her feminine energy to nourish herself first before nourishing others,

She is held.

When her masculine energy allows her to assert herself with a graceful confidence and commanding presence,

She is held.

When she recognizes that the Divine resides in her and does not need to be sought externally,

She is held.

When she realizes that everything she could ever need is within her and only her,

She is held. 

When they collectively raise their consciousness to be pillars of light to other brothers and sisters who are also awakening,

Together, they will forever be held.
